ARMONK, NY — 10 Oct 2006: — MediaSpark Inc., an educational software development and publishing company, known for its award-winning GoVenture line of educational games and simulations, announced the launch of a one-of-a-kind board game designed specifically for gaining entrepreneurship skills in a fun, educational context.
The virtual block party is part of a larger IBM program called the Greater IBM, designed to maintain connections with IBM's network of alumni around the world. Mathew Georghiou, CEO of MediaSpark and an IBM alumnus, will share his thoughts on how simulations and virtual worlds can transform e-learning. Georghiou's software company today develops educational games and simulation environments.
Hundreds of IBMers — across its services, global business consulting and IBM research labs — have been working together in Second Life for more than a year. There focus is on applying synthetic world and game-like universe techniques to real business and social applications.
